Once more, the shots taken on Friday mornings. Soon I’ll have a whole year to compile into a time lapse kind of thing. 🙂
Nov 1, 2013: Cloudy, overcast, but warm (for November!) at close to 50.
Nov 8, 2013: Sunshine! Again, up near 50.
Nov 15, 2013: Windy. Actually close to 60 today. Not bad for mid November, and the day after my son’s birthday. Don’t know what happened to my left-side shot though. It wasn’t there when I went to post them.
Nov 22, 2013:Mid 30s today, and I got this shot in before the maintenance crew lowered the flag in honor of the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination. Had some snow showers in the morning.
Now, here’s something weird I did. I’ve been following the weather reports for years. Actually, it’s a habit my ex got me into back in the 80s. He had an outdoor job so I’d track the weather for him. Anyway, I like checking out the record temps on a given day. And I’ve been copying and pasting daily weather reports into my journal for over a year now. For giggles, I checked the weather records for a random day from 2012, and compared it to the same day for 2013. Check this out:
<<this is the record for this date that was posted in 2013
<<this is the record for this date that was posted in 2012.
The differences are pretty interesting.
If a record year is a record year, why are they different for the same day? (In this case, 11-04.) I’ve been noticing a “trend” now for several months, in that all the “record years” are from 2000 and later. Are they erasing the record highs and lows from the 20th century or something? Are they lying for some reason? Desperately clinging to the global warming myth? Bizarre!
