The modest, unassuming beauty of the daisy has a playful, childlike character that brings joy and happiness wherever it arrives. The many colored options of the daisy provide ample opportunity to match this lovely flower to a specific personality. No other flower can match the daisy for pure joy.
April Flower: Sweet Pea

She who from April dates her years,
Diamonds shall wear, lest bitter tears
For vain repentance flow; this stone,
Emblem of innocence, is known.
Hi Vanessa, just a small suggestion. Your theme is so unique and wonderful. Just that when you post the word of the day, could you please share the earlier words you posted so that there is a continuity and it becomes easy to connect!

That would be great.

Thank you so much, Radhika, for your kind words and thoughtful suggestions! I contemplated adding the “in progress” of the story when I prepped all my posts, and was concerned it might be too distracting. I’m glad you think it would be helpful. I’ve gone ahead and updated my future posts to reflect the progress of the story. I hope that helps! 🙂

It’s a commonly misheard song lyric for a hymn called “Gladly, the Cross I Bear.” Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever heard the hymn, just the jokes about it.

D’oh! How could I not have known that one?! lol I’m pretty sure I’ve heard the hymn – at least, when I see that phrase, a portion of hymn goes through my head and I’m assuming it’s because I’ve heard it before. Now I’ll have to Google it, haha.
