September 19-Somethin’ Challenge Day 28

September 19-Somethin’ Challenge | McClendon Villa19-Somethin_Sidebar_Button

This challenge is prompted by the song 19-Somethin’ by Mark Wills. You can hear the song here: https://youtu.be/UhSCeItgUEc
The following questions are taken from the various lines in the song.  There are also a few random questions thrown into the mix to make it a post a day for the month – 30 posts.

28. When did you go on your first date? What did you do? Where did you go? Did you go out on another date with that person?

I was a much-too-young fourteen.  I honestly don’t remember what we did.  It was a neighbor boy, he was eighteen.

          1. I understand. I thought I was smart back then, too, and so did my mama. She was forever saying that I “smart-mouthed” her or I was a “smart ___” or a “smarty pants”. She must have thought I was brilliant. 🙂
Wouldn’t it be great to be able to go back with the knowledge that we have now and talk to our 14-year old selves? So many hurtful, or potentially hurtful, things could be avoided, maybe. Of course, we’d have to get our 14-year old selves to actually listen to something. 🙂
